Park a Call

Tips, tricks and support

The park feature enables you to place an active call on hold and then retrieve the call yourself or have someone else pick up the call using their OfficeLink app. This feature is most useful when you need a coworker to take over a call, but you’re not sure who is available to do that.
After you park a call, the call is placed on hold and the caller waits for you to find someone else to pick up (unpark) the call. Your OfficeLink account can be configured to play hold music to callers who are on hold.

Park a Call

To use the park feature, while on an active call, tap the park icon on the OfficeLink call screen. This places the caller on hold.

The Home screen opens and a yellow bar appears at the top of the screen for a few seconds displaying the caller’s name or phone number.

After a few seconds, the yellow bar at the top of the screen disappears and the header bar displays one or more yellow numbered icons where calls are currently parked. You can then notify a colleague to pick up the parked call. Be sure to mention the caller's name or phone number.

Pick Up a Parked Call

Tap the first yellow numbered icon in the header bar. This displays the name or phone number of the caller on that parked line. If this is the desired caller, tap the person’s name or phone number to pick up the parked call. Otherwise, tap the X to the right of the caller's name or phone number to leave the caller on hold.
If tapping the first yellow numbered icon in the header bar does not display the desired caller's name or phone number, tap the next yellow numbered icon. If this displays the desired caller's name or phone number, tap it to pick up the parked call. Otherwise, tap the X to the right to leave the caller on hold and continue until you find the desired caller.

The park feature is a great way to handoff calls to your coworkers. After a call is parked, anyone in your organization who has the OfficeLink app can pick up the call.
