Deploy the CloudLink App (optional)

Tips, tricks and support

This optional step of the customer onboarding process enables you to deploy the CloudLink application.
Please select the appropriate tab below to view instructions specific to your type of MiVoice Office PBX.

Deploying the Mitel OfficeLink app requires configuring park keys and sending deployment emails.

Configure Park Keys

The OfficeLink app provides four parked call lines (numbered circles) on the Home screen that are used for retrieving parked calls. The park feature enables you to place an active call on hold and then either retrieve the call yourself or direct someone else to pick up the call using their OfficeLink app. For more information about this feature, see the Park a Call topic.
The following image shows the four corresponding Park Key # fields that need to be configured to enable this feature. You can setup phantom extensions associated with direct company numbers.

The following image shows the four parked call lines displayed at the top of the Home screen in the OfficeLink app:

To ensure that the parked call lines function correctly, in the MiVoice Office PBX, in the Phantoms & Hot Desk Profiles folder shown below:
  • Set the Flag for each phantom being used as a park location.
  • Select "No" for System Forwarding.

Send Deployment Emails

To select the users who will be sent deployment emails, use the Select Users option shown below. You can send deployment emails to all users who have a configured email address in the MiVoice Office PBX. To send OfficeLink registration information to your Admin Contacts to enable them to send emails to their users, use the Send to Admins option.

Note: When users register the app, the system will recognize the private email domains previously associated with the Account ID. Users who have an email address on a public email domain will be prompted to enter the Account ID during registration.

For SMBC platforms, the Sync step is used instead of the PBX and Connect steps shown above.
